		2005 CPCU and Company Of the Year Rick Scherer, CPCU from PMA Insurance Companies was honored as the 2005 CPCU of the year at the June meeting. He holds the CPCU, AIM, and AU designations. He has always loved and supported the Richmond Chapter of CPCU, and has been a cheerleader for our education program from the beginning. He is a past Chapter President and remains very active on the Board of Directors. He has been very active in the Innsbrook Rotary almost since the club was founded, serving as Treasurer, Sargent at Arms and chairman of the Youth Committee he has also served as a soccer coach for the Richmond Strikers and was actively involved the Boys Scouts of American as his son became an Eagle Scout. He has been a member of River Road Church Baptist for over forty years and has served on the Board of Administration. In addition, W.R. Berlkey, Mid Atlantic was honored as the Company of the Year. Berkley Mid-Atlantic has a long and continuous history of supporting the Richmond CPCU Chapter. The company provides time for its staff to hold committee positions and serve in leadership positions on various Boards. Two past chapter presidents work for the company. They have provided people and financial support to various chapter activities including the golf tournament, CPCU night at the Diamond, the WCVE telethon and the Bowl-a-thon. The company is committed to developing a professional staff and now has fifteen employees in the Richmond office with the CPCU designation. Many of its employees attend classes offered by the chapter and the company has provided space for CPCU events. A member of their staff participated in the VCU job fair. Their corporate President, Bill Berkley spoke at one of our chapter meetings. Please join us in congratulating W. R. 	2004 Charity Golf Tournament Thanks to all of our players and volunteers for making this years golf tournament a success. This event was held to raise support for our scholarship program and other area charities.

2004 CPCU and Company Of the Year Lee Nye, CPCU from the Virginia Property Insurance Assocation was honored as the 2004 CPCU of the year at the June meeting. Lee has served on the chapter board of directors now for several years, has held the offices of Treasurer and Secretary and was instrumental this year in setting up the chapter’s new accounting system. Many hours were spent recreating 10 years of accounting history in order to properly set up this system Thank you again Lee for your hard work. In addition, PMA Insurance Group was honored as the Company of the Year. PMA has for the past two years provided meeting space for the Board of Directors as well as allowed three of its staff members to server on the Board. Thank you PMA for all of your support. 	2003 CPCU and Company Of the Year Bob Neal, CPCU, was honored as the 2003 CPCU of the year at the June meeting. Bob has been active in finding meeting speakers, recruiting new members, promoting the chapter at his company and in assisting the board of directors on special tasks. In addition, Colony Insurance Group was honored as the Company of the Year.
