Examinations January 15 - March 15 If you wish to take an exam at our Innsbrook location, send your registration form to our offices by fax at 804-784-7278, by mail at 631 Monacan Drive, Richmond, VA 23238 or by email at mbys@richmondcpcu.org. To qualify for the lowest fee schedule, registrations must be in by the first day of the window. (A fee of $15 will be assessed by the chapter in addition to the fees charged by the Institutes if a student cancels an exam or if he or she moves windows more than one time.) Our examination fees are the same as those charged by the Prometric Centers. A general statement on education: The Richmond Society of CPCU is committed to providing an extensive educational program for the professional development of insurance employees in our area. Each semester we offer approximately ten to twelve classes. Our various course contents can range from fundamental insurance knowledge to the in-depth study of a wide range of insurance knowledge contained in the CPCU program. We offer courses specifically directed at risk managers, claims professionals, underwriters, technology professionals and other specialty areas. Most courses are approved by the Commonwealth of Virginia for continuing education credit toward an agent’s license. Instructors go through an approval process for continuing education. Our chapter sponsors an "apprentice program" which serves as a training ground for new instructors. Most of our instructors are experienced and have served our chapter for many years. We continually work with local businesses and individuals to meet the educational needs of the insurance industry in Richmond.
